Terms of Service
Effective 4 September 2026 · Last updated 4 September 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the agreement between you and 9G Labs LLC ("we," "us") for using Ordara ("the app"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
1. Who can use Ordara
You must be at least 13 years old to use Ordara. Ordara asks the month and year you were born when you start; you agree to answer truthfully. If you are between 13 and 18, you may use it only with the permission of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. By using the app, you confirm you can form a binding agreement and are not barred from doing so under applicable law.
2. Your account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials private. Tell us at support@ordara.app if you believe someone else has gained access. Accounts are for one person and should not be shared.
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Me → Account & Security → Delete account). Deleting your account does not by itself cancel a subscription — see Section 6.
3. Licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Ordara on Apple devices you own or control, for your own studying, subject to these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not copy, modify, distribute, resell, sublicense, or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law expressly allows it.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the assignments, notes, photos, recordings, and messages you put into Ordara. To operate the app, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit your content — including sending it to the service providers that power the app's features (today, OpenAI for AI features, as described in the Privacy Policy) — solely to provide the service to you. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not sell your content or use it to train our own AI models. Our data practices are described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for what you put into the app. Do not upload content you have no right to, and consider others' privacy before submitting their personal information.
5. AI features and their limits
Ordara uses artificial intelligence to read your imports and to answer your questions. AI can be wrong.
- Check imported details. A due date read from a photo or document may be incorrect. Your syllabus, teacher, and school's system are the authority — not Ordara.
- The assistant is not an expert. Its replies are generated text and are not academic, legal, medical, financial, or mental-health advice.
- Follow your school's rules. Ordara does not authorise anything your school's academic-integrity policy forbids.
- Ordo is not a crisis service. If you are in danger or thinking about hurting yourself, contact local emergency services or a crisis line; Ordo will point you to one and cannot help further.
Ordara helps you keep track of your work; it does not guarantee accuracy, and we are not responsible for missed deadlines.
6. Ordara Pro and subscriptions
Some features require Ordara Pro, a paid auto-renewing subscription. Current prices and terms are shown in the app before you buy.
- Billing runs through Apple. You pay Apple, and your Apple Account is charged at confirmation of purchase.
- Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews for another period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before that point.
- Cancelling. Manage or cancel in your device's Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.
- Free trials. If a trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you start a paid subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Changes. We may change prices (with advance notice for renewals) and may add, remove, or move features between the free and paid tiers.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or use Ordara to harm, harass, or impersonate anyone;
- upload malware or content that infringes others' rights;
- scrape the app, overload our servers, or work around usage limits, rate limits, or paid-feature gates;
- use the AI features to generate illegal or abusive content, or resell access to them; or
- attempt to access data that is not yours.
7A. Study Together
Study Together rooms are private and by invitation. Your display name is visible to the friends you add. Do not use it to harass, impersonate, or contact people you do not know. You can block and report anyone in the app or by emailing support@ordara.app; we review reports and may remove content or access for misuse.
8. Beta builds
If you are using a TestFlight (beta) build, it may be unstable, features may change or disappear, and data may be lost. Keep your own record of anything you can't afford to lose.
9. Termination
You may stop using Ordara and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or if we stop offering the service, giving reasonable notice where we can. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 4, 5, 10, 11, and 12 — continue to apply.
10. Disclaimer
Ordara is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, 9G Labs LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, grades, deadlines, or opportunities. Our total liability for any claim relating to Ordara will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or fifty US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law allows.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify 9G Labs LLC against claims arising from your content, your use of Ordara, or your breach of these Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York. Please email us first — most issues are faster to resolve that way.
14. Apple
Because Ordara is distributed through the App Store:
- This agreement is between you and 9G Labs LLC only; Apple is not a party to it.
- We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app.
- If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim that the app infringes intellectual-property rights.
- You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or on any U.S. Government prohibited-party list.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date above changes when we do, and we will notify you in the app or by email of material changes before they take effect. Continuing to use Ordara afterward means you accept the updated Terms.
